TRACKING & PROOF

One private delivery record from confirmation to signature.

AtlasMove separates the public tracking experience from the protected operational system. A confirmed consignment receives one system-generated, high-entropy tracking ID that opens only the matching delivery record.

01

How the tracking code and label connect

The tracking reference identifies the consignment in AtlasMove. A printable label can encode that same reference as a QR code for the driver to scan, while customers can type the unique reference into the website without scanning anything.

Labels identify physical pieces; they do not contain the customer’s full public delivery history. If one order has several packages, each piece can be associated with the same consignment while retaining a piece count.

  • One unique tracking ID identifies the consignment
  • The tracking ID is shared only with authorised contacts
  • QR label helps the driver scan physical pieces
  • Public tracking never lists other customer stops

02

What changes when the driver starts the route

Before route start, the customer sees the confirmed delivery status rather than a fabricated departure time. When the driver taps Start Route, the mobile app begins sending permitted GPS updates and the system can calculate ETA from the active route.

GPS can become stale when the phone loses signal, location permission or power. The operational system should treat stale data as an alert rather than displaying an old point as if it were current.

03

Proof at collection and delivery

Driver scans and status changes establish the chain of custody. At delivery, the receiver signs on the driver’s phone. The signature box should stay fixed during signing, and the driver submits proof only after the required evidence is complete.

The sender can receive delivery confirmation after the protected record is updated. AtlasMove keeps the evidence so authorised staff can retrieve it when dealing with a genuine claim, refund question or payment dispute.

PRACTICAL ANSWERS

Questions before you book.

Can a customer type the ID instead of scanning a QR label?+

Yes. The public tracking page accepts the unique tracking ID by itself. QR scanning is primarily for the driver workflow.

When does live GPS begin?+

It begins after the assigned driver starts the approved route and location sharing is available on the driver phone.

Does tracking show every delivery stop?+

No. The customer view is limited to the assigned vehicle, relevant ETA and their own consignment history.

What proves the delivery was completed?+

The delivery record can include status history, receiver signature and permitted delivery photographs or evidence.
