BEDS & MATTRESSES
Keep every bed component under one tracking record.
A bed may travel as a mattress, frame, headboard, base sections and fittings. AtlasMove records the actual number of physical pieces so the driver can scan and account for the complete consignment rather than treating the order as one vague item.
01
Information that prevents missing pieces
State whether the booking includes a mattress only, a complete bed, a divan base, drawers, headboards or multiple packages. A king-size bed described simply as ‘one bed’ can create confusion at collection, so AtlasMove asks for the physical piece count before route preparation.
If an item is boxed, rolled or fragile, add that information to the handling notes. The accepted quote defines what AtlasMove has agreed to collect and deliver.
- Mattress size and packaging
- Number of base or frame sections
- Headboard, drawers and accessory packages
- Floor level, stairs and lift information
02
Suitable for business orders and one-off moves
Furniture sellers and manufacturers can use a regular corridor for planned customer orders. Households can request a one-off collection and delivery. In both cases the consignment is confirmed only after the practical route and price have been agreed.
Where several deliveries share a journey, customer privacy remains separate. A customer does not receive another customer’s address or stop list.
03
What happens at the destination
The receiver should be available and the agreed access route should be clear. The driver records arrival and delivery status in the mobile workflow. The receiver signs after checking the handed-over pieces.
Assembly and packaging removal are not included unless the accepted quote expressly says so. If you need extra work, ask before confirmation rather than relying on a conversation at the door.

PRACTICAL ANSWERS
Questions before you book.
Is a bed counted as one piece?+
The booking should list the physical pieces being handled. A mattress, two base sections and a headboard would normally be four physical pieces.
Can you deliver a king-size bed?+
Yes, subject to dimensions, access, route and capacity review. Include the complete breakdown in the quote request.
Is assembly included?+
Not automatically. Assembly must be described and expressly included in the accepted quote.
Can the receiver track the delivery?+
Yes. The booker can share the receiver’s private tracking credentials after confirmation, or AtlasMove can send them to the supplied receiver contact.
