ACCESS & FAILED DELIVERY
Good access information protects the item, the crew and the route.
Bulky-goods delivery depends on more than a postcode. Parking, loading restrictions, stairs, lifts, entrances, floor level and receiver availability can determine whether a safe handover is possible. These details must be supplied before confirmation.
01
Information needed for collection and delivery
Provide the full address, postcode, floor level, lift information, parking or loading restrictions and any narrow, low or obstructed access. If permits, booking slots, concierge approval or site induction are required, tell AtlasMove before the job is confirmed.
The item and each physical piece must be ready and reasonably accessible at collection. At delivery, a responsible receiver should be present and the agreed path should be clear.
- Legal stopping or loading location
- Distance from the vehicle to the entrance
- Steps, stairs, lifts and floor level
- Doorway or corridor restrictions
- Named collection and delivery contacts
02
When the crew cannot complete the stop
The driver should use the protected contact details and operational workflow rather than exposing information publicly. If the responsible person cannot be reached, access is refused, the item is unavailable or the route is unsafe, the driver records the reason and contacts dispatch.
The crew should not force an item through an unsuitable entrance, leave goods unsecured without agreement or perform unquoted dismantling merely to complete the stop. Dispatch decides whether a safe alternative is available.
03
Rebooking and additional cost
If the failure results from information or access that materially differs from the confirmed booking, a return, storage, waiting time, rebooking or additional handling requirement may need a revised charge. AtlasMove will explain the proposed next step before creating a new commitment.
If AtlasMove cannot provide the confirmed service for a reason within its responsibility, the team will review the appropriate remedy under the accepted terms and applicable consumer law.

PRACTICAL ANSWERS
Questions before you book.
What if there is no parking outside?+
Tell AtlasMove the nearest lawful loading option before confirmation. Distance and restrictions may affect the plan and quote.
What if the lift is broken?+
Contact the team as soon as possible. A change from lift access to stairs may require a safety and price review.
Will the driver leave the item outside?+
Not unless a safe alternative has been expressly agreed. The driver should not leave bulky goods unsecured by assumption.
What if nobody answers at delivery?+
The driver records the attempted stop and contacts dispatch. Rebooking or another agreed step may involve additional cost depending on the circumstances.
